Deutsche Yachten has grown once again. With the latest member, Anschütz GmbH, an expert in navigation and bridge systems has joined the association.
Anschütz GmbH is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of navigation and bridge systems. The Kiel-based company operates internationally and supplies its systems to commercial shipping, naval vessels and megayachts. In the megayacht sector, Anschütz counts the most renowned shipyards and the most impressive ships in the world among its customers, who can always rely on safe, sophisticated and comfortable state-of-the-art bridge systems and excellent customer service over the entire life cycle of a yacht.
In addition to powerful and customized integrated navigation and bridge systems with multifunctional systems for radar, electronic chart display and information systems (ECDIS) and navigation displays (Conning), Anschütz’s portfolio includes classic and maintenance-free gyro compasses, fuel and emission-saving autopilots, rudder control systems and electronic logbooks.
Anschütz GmbH stands for experience and expertise in navigation like no other company. To be more precise, this experience dates back to the beginning of the 20th century, when Dr. Hermann Anschütz-Kaempfe developed the gyrocompass with the support of Albert Einstein and subsequently laid the foundation for the company. Since then, Anschütz has revolutionized shipping with numerous innovations, including the so-called iron helmsman, the chart plotter, the track control system and the first integrated navigation system with type approval. Today, Anschütz has international branches, service partners at the world’s most important destinations and a modern service infrastructure to ensure fast and competent service at all times. ”
Our mission is to ensure the safety and reliability of navigation on the high seas with our team of experts around the world – at all times and under all conditions,” says Andreas Weidner, Managing Director of Anschütz. “In the past and today, our innovations are therefore always motivated by the goal of making shipping safer and more efficient. We want to use the new digital technologies to create added value for our customers, for example by promoting the integration of functions and data, improving data exchange and simplifying better situation analyses, decision-support assistance systems and, above all, safe operation at sea.”
Claus-Ehlert Meyer, Managing Director of Deutsche Yachten, comments: “Anschütz joining the German Yachts Working Group is good news for our members, as some of our members will certainly be able to benefit from the technological expertise, the excellently developed network of sales and service partners and the customer-oriented service offering in the future.”
